about
I’m RIHAN (Namibian, 23), a Cape Town–based visual artist whose practice moves between photography, video performance, and installation. At the core of my work is self-portraiture and archival practice, where I use my own body as both subject and site of inquiry. My art explores queer embodiment and identity as layered terrains that intersect with, and challenge normative understandings of gender and representation.
Beyond the studio, my creative practice extends into design and content creation, reflecting my passion for collaboration and storytelling across different mediums. Whether through producing self-reflective visual works, building thoughtful campaigns, or crafting images that hold presence and intimacy, I aim to create spaces where identity and expression can exist in their most unapologetic and nuanced forms.
